Lisa has strong roots in ministry and gospel music. While growing up in Springfield, Missouri, she traveled with her parents and siblings for several years on the evangelistic field as The Singing Doolittles. Their family shared the Word through music while her dad preached. At the age of 12, Lisa decided she wanted to play the piano. After three lessons, she decided she wasn't learning fast enough. Knowing God is the ultimate teacher, she had her hands anointed. Since that time, God has clearly rested his anointing on her gifts.
Lisa has been blessed with a powerful voice. Although she sings the alto part for the group, she is a feature vocalist on many Folenius’ songs. She commands an incredible range in both pitch and dynamics. With one song, she can belt the roof off, then turn around and deliver a tender and beautiful ballad with warm, soothing tones and heart-felt conviction and feeling. God has truly anointed her.
Lisa has an inspiring testimony that she shares with compassion and conviction. She states, "Although I was raised in a Christian home and was faithful to church, I came to realize that a head knowledge of Christ was not the same as heart knowledge." She knows that God has a plan for her life, and leans on the promise of Jeremiah 29:11. When asked for her thoughts about the ministry of Folenius, Lisa said, “We are expecting big things through this ministry. Time is short and there are a lot of souls to win for the Kingdom.”
